CORDELE — Christmas is just a little over a month away. It is time once again for the city’s Annual Christmas Parade, sponsored each year by the Cordele Lions Club.
This year Cordele will be “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” with each float encouraged to depict a Christmas Song.
All entries with the exception of “Governmental Agencies” such as Sheriff, Police, Fire Department, etc must submit a $20 fee with their entry application.
The parade will be held on Friday, December 4 beginning at 6 p.m. Lineup for entries will be at 5 p.m. at 6th Avenue and 7th Street in front of City Hall. Lineup order depends on order that applications are received. Deadline for entries is Tuesday, November 24.
The parade will travel down 7th Street ending at 15th Avenue.
Only one Santa Claus will be in the parade and that will be on the Lions Club float at the end.
